From March 29 – 31, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia, in partnership with OSCE Border Management Staff College, organised a Regional consortium workshop for the Heads of Customs and Border Guarding services’ training institutions from Central Asian countries.

From March 15 – 17, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia, in partnership with OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe and Border Management Staff College, held a regional workshop on development of the training of trainers (ToT) methodology for leading specialists of Border Guard, Customs, and Veterinary and Phytosanitary service agencies from Central Asian countries.

A meeting was held yesterday at the State Customs Committee with Ms. Ashita Mittal, the representative of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and Murotjon Azimov, chairman of the Committee.

The State Customs Committee is taking measures to implement the “Roadmap for enhancing the interaction of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the World Customs Organization (WCO)”.

On November 14, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, who is in Tashkent to attend the Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program.

On November 11-12, 2019, the first meeting of the Joint Customs Council with the heads of customs services of Uzbekistan and Turkey was held in Tashkent.

The delegation headed by the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Murotjon Azimov is also present at the International Customs Forum in Moscow on October 24-25, 2019.

The 2019-2020 WCO-Japan Career Development Programme commenced in Brussels at WCO Headquarters on Monday 16 September 2019. The Programme was launched in 2009 by the WCO in cooperation with Japan Customs and provides an opportunity for selected candidates to work at the WCO Secretariat.

On July 31 of the current year, negotiations between the heads of the customs services of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Senko and the Republic of Uzbekistan Murodjon Azimov took place in Minsk.

June 20-21, 2019, the 18th meeting of the Customs Cooperation Committee within the framework of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) began its work in Tashkent.

On June 5-7, 2019, practical seminar on the control of air passengers and their baggage (including API / PNR) was held at the State Customs Committee.

May 22, 2019, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Today, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), is hosting the Sixth Annual Interregional Meeting of the UNODC Global Program and the World Customs Organization (WCO) for Container Control (PCCP).

On May 13, 2019, the delegation headed by Deputy Chief of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China Li Guo visited the State Customs Committee.

High-level meetings within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United Arab Emirates in March this year led to a new stage in strengthening partnership and expanding practical cooperation.

On May 2, 2019, the State Customs Committee held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Executive Director of the Office on Drugs and Crime Yuri Fedotov, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the 11th meeting of themembers signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Regional Cooperation on Drug Control.

The meeting with the representatives of the UAE-Dubai Customs Administration under the leadership of Mrs. Nodiya Abdullah Kamali were held at the State customs committee.

In the second half of the day the guest visited the “High Way Logistics Center” a modern transport logistics center, built on 14 hectares in Zangiota district.

Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuria visited Uzbekistan on March 5, 2019. The main events of the visit are held on March 6.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev is carrying out intensive foreign policy reforms with constructive and mutually beneficial relations with foreign countries. The new stage of mutual cooperation is also reflected in the Uzbek-Turkish relations.
