As it is known, cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates has reached a more active stage during last years.

Chairman of the State Customs Committee M.Azimov noted that this is also reflected in bilateral relations in the field of customs. In particular, he emphasized that an intergovernmental agreement on mutual assistance in customs matters was signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates as an important document on customs administration.

From this point of view, the customs administrations of the two states should create a basis for further improvement of these indicators, in particular, the growth of trade turnover.

The technical aspects of the exchange of information between customs administrations were thoroughly discussed at the meeting. In other words, the sides will exchange information on goods and means of transport crossing the customs border in electronic form online. This, naturally, will accelerate customs clearance and increase the effectiveness of customs control.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of improving the skills of customs officials and exchange of experience through the exchange of experts.

Also, the acquisition of UAE experience in the construction of the modern customs terminals in Uzbekistan, modern logistics centers, as well as attracting foreign investment in this process were one of the general themes during discussion.

Following the meeting, Mrs. Nodia Abdullah Kamaliy got acquainted with the Customs History Museum of the State Customs Committee and left a note in the book of "Honorable Guests."
