From March 29 – 31, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia, in partnership with OSCE Border Management Staff College, organised a Regional consortium workshop for the Heads of Customs and Border Guarding services’ training institutions from Central Asian countries.
From March 15 – 17, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia, in partnership with OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe and Border Management Staff College, held a regional workshop on development of the training of trainers (ToT) methodology for leading specialists of Border Guard, Customs, and Veterinary and Phytosanitary service agencies from Central Asian countries.

Another case of illegal attempts to obtain a privilege by incorrectly indicating the year of manufacture of equipment imported from abroad in order to avoid paying customs duties was revealed in a timely manner.
The customs officers of the Republic are constantly taking urgent measures to prevent the smuggling of goods across the customs border without paying customs duties.
