The customs authorities have revealed the violations of the law by attempting to get illegal privileges by misrepresenting the year of production of imported equipment to avoid paying customs duties.
A meeting was held yesterday at the State Customs Committee with Ms. Ashita Mittal, the representative of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and Murotjon Azimov, chairman of the Committee.
As you know, the illegal import of narcotic substances, cultivation, as well as their illicit trafficking are strictly prohibited by law, and entails criminal liability.
The fight against the illicit movement of narcotic substances is always acute for customs. In this regard, the state customs authorities on an ongoing basis take measures to combat the illicit circulation of drugs in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At present, the Customs authorities, in cooperation with relevant government agencies, are working to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in our country.
The State Customs Committee is taking measures to implement the “Roadmap for enhancing the interaction of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the World Customs Organization (WCO)”.
Import and export of wild animals, their parts, collections of zoology, products of life activity and trophies in the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out with permission issued by the State Committee for Nature Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
