1008
The customs officers of the country are systematically fighting against the illicit trafficking and sale of powerful drugs.

In particular, during the operation carried out by the Tashkent city customs administration in cooperation with the State Security Service and the Interior Ministry, the activities of a criminal group trying to smuggle large quantities of powerful drugs into the country by detours and then monetize them in Tashkent were stopped.

At the first stage of the operation in Bektemir district of Tashkent, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter truck was inspected.

A total of 6,076 vials of Tropicamide were hidden in 9 bags of cucumbers in the trunk of the car and in 1 bag under the passenger seat.

After, a person who was supposed to take the drugs was also arrested.

According to the plan of the criminal group, these drugs were then to be distributed throughout the city pharmacies.

In this case, the total value of drugs "Tropicamide" seized from offenders amounted to 1 billion 93 mln. soums.

During the operation in Yangihayot district of Tashkent, the vehicle "Lacetti" driven by a previously observed person was inspected in the prescribed manner.

As a result, 500 vials of the drug "Tropicamide", 3 capsules of "Regapen", 0.32 gr. hashish and 1 electronic scale were discovered in the car.

The next stage of the operation was continued in Chilanzar district.

This time, two suspects were stopped while handing over 503 Regapen drugs to another person on Qatortol Street.

In the above cases, drugs which could pose a serious threat to human health and the value of which is almost 1.1 billion UZS were seized.
