Employees of the Customs administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan held an emergency operation in Turtkul district.

During the operation, the citizen Ch.A. driving a "Nexia" vehicle was stopped and inspected in accordance with the established procedure.

As a result, it was found that he had drug-like substances wrapped in polyethylene packaging in his pockets.

According to the Forensic Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, these substances were found to be opium with a net weight of 99.42 grams.

The customs authorities are investigating the case.
