Another method of smuggling drugs was revealed at the border customs post "Ayritom" in Surkhandarya region.

On March 1, 2021, from 16.35 to 16.50, 4 citizens of neighboring states had entered the post on foot.

Interestingly, when the hand luggage of these individuals was inspected by customs, all four of them were carrying the same good - shampoos, which attracted the attention of customs officials.

When the hand luggage of a citizen of a neighboring country was inspected by customs in the prescribed manner, it was found that suspicious substances were placed in 14 boxes of shampoo inside the bag.

During customs inspection, it was discovered that these substances were 3 kg.149 gr of heroin in liquid form.

Five minutes later, another foreign national was stopped carrying 12 shampoos in his hand luggage. This time the weight of liquid heroin placed in shampoo boxes was 2 kg. 532 gr.

On the same day, the offenders were caught in a row with a difference of 5 minutes. Unbeknownst about the fate of their former accomplices, two other foreign nationals entered the customs post and were greeted by the fate of their accomplices.

One of them had 3 kg.472 gr. of heroin in 13 shampoo boxes, and another 3 kg. 202 gr. in 14 shampoo boxes.

Thus, a total of 12 kg. 355 gr. of narcotics in 53 shampoo boxes were seized from 4 foreign nationals. The expert opinion also confirmed that the substances were liquid heroin.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted by the customs authorities and an investigation is under way.
