The customs officers of the country continue to take urgent measures to stop drug trafficking.

In particular, in the Surkhandarya region, several attempts to smuggle drugs using them as live containers were revealed.

A citizen of the neighboring country T.S., who entered the border customs post "Ayritom" of the Surkhandarya regional customs administration was examined by customs with the help of body scanner device, and it was discovered that internal organs of the person contained suspicious objects of round shape.

After that, with the help of doctors, 44 polyethylene bags were removed from the person. The packages contained an opium drug weighing about 430 grams.

So does this person have any other partners? To whom should these drugs be delivered?

In order to bring this situation to a logical conclusion, the staff of the Combating smuggling and customs audit department developed a multi-stage operational action plan with the involvement of representatives of the State Security Service and the Interior Ministry.

As a result, other individuals who tried to smuggle drugs into their internal organs were also arrested.

During the operation, a citizen of the neighboring country Q.K., who entered the "Ayritom" border customs post was also quickly tracked and scanned with the help of a scanner device. As a result, it was revealed that this person also had 34 polyethylene bags with drugs inside.

When the packages were removed by medical staff, they contained about 650 grams. of drug "hashish".

Q.N., a citizen who entered the post shortly afterwards, was also awaiting the fate of his predecessors.

He, too, was immediately exposed for hiding drugs in his internal organs with the help of a body scanner. This time, the person who acted as a "live container" tried to smuggle 31 packages of "hashish" weighing 592.22 gr..

After that, the operation was continued in Tashkent, and in one of the hotels of the capital was detained a person who was supposed to take the drugs.

As a result of operative measures, the illicit trafficking of drugs weighing 1672.22 grams was stopped.

A criminal case has been launched by the customs authorities and an investigation is under way.
