Digit of the day: Uzbekistan exported $ 4.7 million worth of capers

Over the past 10 months of this year more than 2,829 tons of capers worth $4.7 mln. were sent for export.

This year, compared to the same period in 2019, our country has exported more than 27 tons of capers.

As a result of the export, the country's foreign exchange earnings increased by $ 170,000 or 4% compared to the same period of last year.

According to the State Customs Committee, 80 percent of the capers were exported to Turkey and 14 percent to Italy.

Also, this year, the export of capers to the United States is doubled.
