Officers of the "Sariosiyo" railway border customs post of the Surkhandarya region's customs administration, in cooperation with the State Security Service, exposed an attempt to transit large quantities of drugs from the country.

Suspicious scanned images of one of the wagons made by customs inspection complex caught the attention of customs officers when a freight train entering the country and passing through.

During the in-depth customs control of the wagon with the help of service dogs, it was revealed that special secret places were prepared at the bottom of the wagon.

When these secret places were opened, it was revealed that 23 5-liter glue bottles were hidden in black cellophane bags, taped.

Almost 12 kg. of heroin and 2.6 kg. of hashish in 4 jars, 81 kg 348 gr. of hashish oil were in other 19 jars.

After that, the regional customs service, Border Troops and police officers of the region continued the operation and inspected another wagon at the "Darband" railway station.

As a result, it was discovered that at the bottom of this wagon was also hidden a total of 21 5-liter containers wrapped in black cellophane bags in a special secret place and containing 30 kg. 648 gr. of hashish drug and 45 kg. 906 gr. of hashish oil.

During the event, the smuggling 172.5 kg. of heavy drugs across the territory of the republic has been prevented.

A criminal case has been launched by the customs authorities and sent to the relevant investigative bodies.

It should be noted that the work on the transition to "digital customs" with the introduction of the most advanced modern information and communication technologies in the customs field is bearing fruit. In particular, in order to prevent similar violations, the customs posts of the republic are equipped with a total of 19 inspection complexes for control and X-ray inspection of trucks, railroad trains and wagons.
