In particular, during the operational event carried out by the customs administration of Kashkadarya region, the residence of the citizen B.H. was inspected in accordance with the established procedure.

As a result, it was discovered that this person was illegally cultivating a narcotic among other plants in his garden.

According to the relevant conclusions of the regional Department of Internal Affairs, it was found that the drug was a "cannabis plant" weighing 1689 grams.

At present, the customs authorities are investigating the case.

It is known that the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances" No. 813-I of August 19, 1999 and the Resolution No. 330 of the Cabinet of Ministers of November 12, 2015 "On improving control over the import, export and transit of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, as well as their circulation in our country" regulates the procedure for the transfer of drugs and their circulation.

This legislation provides that the activities related to the circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in the country, including their import and export, distribution, development, preparation, destruction, as well as the cultivation of narcotic plants in Uzbekistan is carried out only on the basis of a license issued in accordance with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and by legal entities only.
