Employees of the customs administration of Khorezm region carried out an operation against illegal drug trade.

During the event, citizen M.R. was arrested with material evidence while selling 5.46 grams of "synthetic" drugs. A search of a handbag belonging to citizen M.R. also revealed that the bag contained 0.68 grams of “synthetic” drugs wrapped in a piece of white paper and 2.34 grams wrapped in candy wrappers.

Also, in another case, citizen T.D. was stopped while selling a 12.95 gram “synthetic” drug wrapped in a white cellophane bag to a conditional buyer. Subsequently, a search of T.D.’s apartment also revealed the presence of a “synthetic” drug weighing 1.15 grams.

During the operation, 22.58 grams of drugs were seized as material evidence.

At present, the customs authorities are investigating the case.
