Today, the measures taken by the state to curb the COVID-19 pandemic in our country require dedication and patriotism from all of us every second.
Customs officers exposed another drug dealers.

At a time when our people are struggling with coronavirus infection, some of our compatriots are trying to implement their own scheming plans, instead of providing comprehensive assistance to our state and people.

In particular, the law enforcement agencies of the republic revealed another case of drug trafficking.

During the operation carried out by the Department for Combating Smuggling and Customs Violations of the Tashkent Customs Administration in cooperation with the State Security Service in Sergeli district of Tashkent, two citizens were detained and examined with the participation of attesting witnesses.

During the search, it was discovered that citizen H.A. had a hashish drug packed in 5 paper wraps in his pocket. Citizens B.B. also had 2.827,000 soums and 200 US dollars given in exchange for the purchase of drugs by H.A.. All were seized as material evidence. 

The operative measures were continued, and when the houses of these citizens in Sergeli and Yangiyul districts were inspected in the prescribed manner and with the participation of attesting witnesses, it was found that hashish was stored in 2 plastic bags.

The total amount of hashish seized from these individuals during the operation was 113.25 gr.

In addition, the Department for Combating Smuggling and Customs Violations of the Tashkent Regional Customs administration, in cooperation with the State Security Service, revealed the illicit trafficking of hashish.

When a Lacetti car was stopped in Zangiota district and inspected by service dogs, 58.99 grams of “hashish” in a plastic bag was found under the car seat. Also a citizen Y.Sh. was found to have $1,050 intended for the purchase of narcotics.

As it turned out, the citizen Y.Sh. received these drugs from his brother, and he in turn bought them from M.R. and L.A., residents of Andijan region.

During the operation, the apartment in Yakkasaray district, where these people are temporarily residing, was inspected with the participation of attesting witnesses and in accordance with current procedures.

Here, the presence of specially processed bodies used in drug use was identified and taken as material evidence.

The investigation is underway.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, 115 violations detected by customs officers of the country during which the smuggling of 22 kilos of drugs, as well as 4,888 tablets, across the customs border was stopped.
