Customs officers exposed a passenger attempting to smuggle over 1 kg of jewelry at the Tashkent airport

When the luggage belonging to this passenger were examined in the prescribed manner, 1 kg and 180 gr. gold and silver made jewelries not presented to the customs control and were not mentioned in the customs officer's oral request were discovered.

The total value of these jewelry, which exceeds the duty-free import tariffs for individuals, were 19 mln. soums.

An investigation is underway.
