At the Tashkent International Airport, four foreign passengers crossed "the green" corridor before flying to a foreign country. However, their behavior and strange concern cause suspicion among customs officers, as a result of which a customs check was carried out using the scanning equipment for screening passengers “Body scanning” installed at the airport. As a result of the survey, it turns out that in the abdominal cavity of men there were suspicious foreign objects.
To clarify the whole situation, they were urgently taken to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine and examined by doctors with the participation of witnesses.
As a result of the examination, a total of 268 capsules with a solid white substance inside were found and seized in the internal organs, and more precisely in the colon of all four passengers.
When opening the capsules, it turned out that in this way the drug couriers tried to transport 4 kilograms and 152.52 grams of heroin in their bodies.
During the operational event, another drug courier was detained at the Airtom border customs post of the Surkhandarya Regional customs administration. As a result of the survey, 67 oval capsules with 1 kg 42 grams of heroin were found and seized in the internal organs.
Also, as a result of operational actions at the Tashkent International Airport, another suspicious passenger who was about to fly to a foreign state was detained. In the internal organs of this citizen, 35 oval capsules with 544.45 grams of heroin were discovered and extracted. Then his criminal accomplice, a citizen of a foreign state, who delivered drugs to him, was also detained.
As a result of multi-stage operational-search measures to identify the entire drug distribution chain, customs officers detained 7 drug couriers who tried to transit through Uzbekistan in their bodies more than 5 kg 739 grams of heroin.
Currently, for all revealed facts of crimes, customs authorities have opened a criminal case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
