In particular, employees of the Department of Combating smuggling and customs violations of the Tashkent Regional Customs Office, in cooperation with the Tashkent Regional State Security Service, held an operational event in Zangiota district.

During the event, the "Lacetti" car owned by a citizen M.I. was checked in prescribed manner.

As a result, it was found out that there were 5935 units of drugs and several medical equipment worth 830.5 million sums produced abroad and had no identification documents.

During the event, citizen T.A.'s  "Cobalt" car was also checked in the presence of witnesses.

During the inspection, 6029 pcs of drugs with no documentation, produced abroad and totaling 893.5 million soums were discovered in the car's luggage section.

The total cost of illegal drugs was $ 1 billion. 724 million soums.

Customs authorities are currently investigating this incident.
