In particular, in order to create favorable conditions and wide opportunities for the participants of foreign economic activity, the following requirements were abolished:

 

- 10 types of permits issued by the State Customs Service;

 

- registration of export contracts on all goods in the State Customs Service;

 

- obligatory customs examination of exported fruits and vegetables (with the exception of cases when there is a risk of violation of customs law);

 

- provision of information on prepayment for exported goods (except raw materials) or bank guarantee, insurance policy, opening letter of credit.

 

In addition, since March 1, 2019, as a result of the full implementation of the risk management system in the customs authorities, the average time required to register export declarations in 2019 decreased 6.5 times comparing to 2018. 

 

These positive developments and the emphasis on export by the State are bearing their fruits. In particular, during the first 8 months of this year, goods worth $206.9 million were exported from Surkhandarya region, which means rose by 122% or by $113.7 million compared to the same period of the last year.

 

The main exported products were:

 

- Exports of fruits and vegetables for $53 million;

- Export of Kalava yarn for $34.2 million;

- Exports of natural resources for $ 23 million;

- Export of food products for $7.2 million;

- and export of textile products increased by $3.7 million.

The main countries which imported our products during 8 months of this year:

- The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the amount of $55.8 million;

- The Islamic Republic of Pakistan - $52.4 million;

- China - $36.6 million;

- The Republic of Kazakhstan at the amount of 29.5 million US dollars.

As the figures show, the export potential of the region is increasing day by day. The regional customs administration also contributes to these positive developments. At present, the customs clearance of goods exported by the customs posts of Termez, Denau, Jarkurgan, River Port is carried out at any time of the day. In addition, the management of the regional customs administration and customs posts regularly hold meetings with entrepreneurs under the slogan "Customs authorities are business supporters" and provide practical assistance in the framework of their authority.
