According to established legislation,65 grams of the imported jewelry made of precious metals and stones is not obligatory to customs clearance, but the excess of this norm must be clarified in the passenger customs declaration.

However, despite the creation of such conveniences, there are cases when imports of jewelry to the country bypass customs control.

In particular, the citizen B.G. came from Istanbul drew attention of the customs officials of the Tashkent International Airport. As a result of personal inspection in prescribed manner, the jewelry made of 100 grams of precious metals and stones, exceeding the import limit and which were stored in underwear, were revealed.

Currently, the investigation is underway.
