The customs officers of the country continue to take urgent measures to combat the illicit trafficking of drugs whose quality is not guaranteed.

During an operation conducted by the State Customs Committee in Mirabad district of the capital, one of the suspects was detained while selling 2,500 pieces of foreign-made drugs "Kleksan" without documents proving its quality and customs clearance.

Also, during the operation, it was revealed that 1233 drugs of the same name were illegally stored in the warehouse of one of the sports clubs in Tashkent.

In this case, the total value of 3,733 drugs seized from offenders amounted to 250 million soums.
On the same day, an emergency event was held in Chilanzar district of the capital.

During the search of the vehicle "Cobalt" driven by a person under surveillance, it was found that 1,089 boxes of 165 drugs and 468 sedatives were loaded in his cabin and luggage.

The total value of these goods was 300 million soums.

Rapid inquiries are underway to identify those involved in these cases.

It should be noted that in the first four months of this year, the customs officers of the country, in cooperation with various law enforcement agencies, detected 216 cases of customs violations and prevented smuggling of medicines and medical supplies worth 17, 577 mln. soums.
