The plan of measures approved by the State Customs Service within the implementation of the "Road Map" on effective implementation of the concept of raising legal culture of society in 2019, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the plan, December was declared as "Month of fight against corruption in the system of state customs bodies".

On December 9, at the Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee, the Youth Forum and a conference on "Corruption - Threat to Security" were held in connection with the International Day against Corruption.

The event was organized by the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Central Council of the Youth Union, the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Institute of State Security Service.

In recent years, we have identified specific measures to counteract and prevent corruption in the country.

In particular, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Fighting Corruption" as of January 3, 2017 is one of the main directions of state policy in improving the legal awareness and legal culture of the population, formation of intolerant attitude to corruption in society.

In a lively and constructive youth forum, the participants shared their knowledge of the fight against corruption and made suggestions and recommendations for addressing this problem.

In addition, in order to improve the legal awareness and legal culture of the population, to create intolerable attitude towards corruption in the society, the State Customs Committee established a permanent advocacy group of 16 people.

In this direction, special attention is paid to the more efficient use of the opportunities of mass media.

It should be noted that information and communication technologies are also effectively used in the prevention of corruption in the industry.

Participants of foreign economic activity now have the opportunity to submit their own customs declarations to the customs authorities in real time via internet.

At the initiative of the President of our country, the "green", "yellow", "blue" and "red" corridors have been introduced to customs control and clearance of goods through the Risk Management Information System, and the Customs authorities must present customs declaration and other relevant documents to the Customs authorities. It also plays an important role in the fight against corruption.

According to the current procedures, the customs officer's obligation to carry out customs procedures, as required by the Risk Management System, will help to avoid any illegal actions.

Starting from February 1, 2020, one more innovation is being introduced in the industry - the Single Window customs information system. Through this system, foreign economic activity participants can obtain the authorization documents electronically and submit it to the customs authorities.

At the end of the event, journalists received comprehensive answers to all their questions.

The month of fight against corruption within the customs authorities continues.
