Today friendly policy pursued by the President in the framework of foreign policy promotes further strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea, in particular, promotion of trade, investment and science cooperation to a new level.
A meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea was held at the State Customs Committee

In our country large investment projects are being carried out in the oil and gas and petrochemical industries, metallurgy, machine building, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, agro-industrial, food and other sectors with the participation of leading South Korean companies and banks. The practical cooperation between the regions and business circles of the two countries is expanding.

The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan also plays an important role in the accelerated development of the above-mentioned projects. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea Mr. Kan Jie Kwon visited the State Customs Committee.

During the meeting the Chairman of the State Customs Committee M.Azimov familiarized the honorable guests with the activities of the Customs Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the end of the event, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Mr. Kan Jie Kwon praised the reforms undertaken under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Customs sphere. In his turn, he attached special importance to further strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation between the customs authorities of the two countries.
