In particular, starting from December 1, 2018, the "yellow" and "red" corridors were put into operation, and now starting from March 1, 2019, the "green" and "blue" corridors were added to this sytem.
By full implementation of this system customs clearance of goods and means of transport shall be performed on the basis of hazard profiles or random selection on one of the following corridors, with the refusal of "total" customs control:
"green corridor" - is when the decision to release the low-risk commodities and means of transport is made, the customs control forms are not applied to them.
"red corridor", is when the forms of customs control are appllied in respect of high-risked goods or means of transport or are identified in a random selection.
"Yellow corridor" is when the forms of customs control as checking customs declaration,verification of documents and data are made in respect of goods and means of transport which have a medium degree of risk or are identified in a random selection.
"Blue corridor" - is when the forms of customs control of medium-risk goods or means of transport or identified in a random selection are apllied after their release.
This system plays an important role in the identification, forecasting and prevention of violations of customs legislation, along with the acceleration of customs clearance operations of goods.
It also contributes to reducing administrative barriers for foreign economic activity participants, reducing customs clearance, improving quality and encouraging participants in the fair foreign trade activities.
